Academy Days 2021
I personally apologize for the confusion provided this morning. I was told that GHS was not reporting due to lack of electric and issues with equipment. As soon as I posted that communication, I was told the decision was changed. I again apologize for this. Let’s have a great day. Update - Thank you to our head custodian, Mr. Todd, our Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Laugh and our head of maintenance, Mr. Potts, for the “early” work they had to do on this. They started at 6:00 am when when the problem was found. The bus garage needed a decision by 6:20. So at 6:20 they made the decision. Fortunately, just a couple minutes after the decision was made, the problem was found with the school and the electric company. Therefore, they were able to quickly change the decision so we did not lose a day with our students. Again I apologize. It was unfortunate timing. Thankful for the hard work the people in our county put in every day. It takes a team for sure. Luckily this was a minor situation and we can get on with the day as planned.
