Good afternoon, As you know tomorrow is our second NTID Day. For Friday, January 10, 2025, students are to work on the assignments they downloaded to their iPad from Engilsh, science and CTE courses. Students will have two school days after returning from the NTID to submit work. Assignments should take about an hour per subject assigned today. Teachers will be available by email, phone, Rooms or Teams for student questions from 10 am to 3 pm. Stay safe and warm. I hope to see you soon. Mrs. Shumaker

Good afternoon. Tomorrow, Friday, January 10th, 2025, will be a Non-Traditional Instruction Day for all Taylor County Schools. This is NTI Day #2 for students. Students will learn from home and staff are to be available for support, from their assigned work site, from 10-3pm. Parents and Guardians are asked to review our NTID Family Plan video for more information on student expectations, available teacher supports, and meal availability for students. This video can be viewed on our Taylor County Schools website, YouTube channel, and social media page.

Sending out this appreciation post to our head custodian Mr. Zach Pinnell and the TCS maintenance department. Mr. Pinnell has went every day this week to keep sidewalks open and monitor the building for heat or other issues. The maintenance department has plowed parking lots. Thank you all!!! 💙💛💙💛

The WV Dept. of Education is reporting continued issues with their program Livegrades. They are working on getting it operational as soon as possible. TCS will send updates as we get them. Thank you for your patience while we work through the issues.

New Members of National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) are reminded to check their emails (k12 or personal) to finalize their new member accounts. Please also check NTHS Teams for information and announcements. New Member one-time dues are $30 and can be paid by check, cash, or School Cash Online (scan the QR code). The brief online application and dues are to be paid and finalized by January 8. Please see Mrs. Ward in TC8 with any questions. You may also send an email to stward@k12.wv.us. Save the Date, Friday afternoon, January 31, for the Induction Ceremony. Our NTHS Seniors will also be receiving their purple and white graduation cords. Parents will be invited to attend. Thank you!
