This is a reminder to all who signed up for the Financial Aid Workshop that the main entrance doors will open at 4:45 pm and the event will be held in the GHS Library on the 2nd floor beginning promptly at 5:00 pm. Please be sure to bring electronic devices to fill out the FAFSA. Students need to have their school issued iPads.

GHS families — we need your help to make this year’s Homecoming Dance a sweet success! 💛💙

We’re asking for snack and drink donations to help keep our students fueled and having fun throughout the night. Think chips, cookies, desserts, water, juice, or other non-soda drinks. 🧃🍪

🕒 Donations can be dropped off any time during school hours at the GHS Main Office. Be sure to label the items "GHS Homecoming"

Your support means so much and helps us make sure our kids have a great time at the dance! Thank you for helping us keep the Bearcat spirit strong 🐾💛

Mark your calendars! The GHS Homecoming Parade will be held on Wednesday, October 15th in Downtown Grafton at 6:00 pm. Lineup will be at 5:30 pm for participants.💛💙

Bring your family, friends, and plenty of school spirit as we celebrate our community together! Don’t forget to bring a bag — there will be lots of goodies tossed your way! 🍬

We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s parade will feature not only Grafton High School students, teams, and organizations and the Bearcubs organization, but also Taylor County Middle School! Let’s give them a big Bearcat welcome as we all come together to celebrate Homecoming 2025!

LAST CALL CLASS OF 2026: Please make sure that you register for the Financial Aid Night that will be occurring at GHS in the library from 5-7 pm on Wednesday. This is a great resource for families to get questions answered regarding the FAFSA.

Library students went on their 12th annual walk Thursday. They visited Bluemont Cemetery where they learned about local folklore; the Taylor County Courthouse where Jaron Freeman and staff gave an excellent tour of the records rooms, voting equipment, and county commission chambers; the Taylor County Historical Society, where Darlene Ford shared the beginnings of our county’s history; and the Taylor County Public Library, where many applied for their library card and got to experience the old newspapers on microfilm. The county librarian graciously provided them with pizza and crafts, as well, and the Whistle Stop cafe downtown served them refreshments while they listened to old stories about Grafton. Finally, they visited the Grafton National Cemetery to locate and capture pictures of the tombstones of their veterans so they can embark on their year-long research projects. It was a fabulous day to enjoy Grafton by foot and the students send their thanks.
