Taylor County Schools Hosts WVDE Regional Math Training
Today, Taylor County Schools proudly hosted the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) Regional Math Training. We welcomed Kβ5 teachers from across our county and neighboring counties for a day focused on building math instruction excellence.
Participants explored valuable math resources and strategies designed to strengthen student understanding and application of key math concepts.
A heartfelt thank-you to all the educators who joined us for this collaborative learning experience and to the WVDE for partnering with us to support high-quality math education across the region!

Today, our interested juniors and seniors had the exciting opportunity to visit West Virginia University for the WV College Fair! Students met with representatives from colleges across West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, learning more about future academic and career pathways.
In addition to the fair, we enjoyed a guided tour of the beautiful WVU campus.
A huge thank-you to WVU for hosting our students and providing an informative, welcoming, and memorable day. We truly appreciate your hospitality and commitment to helping our students explore their futures! π

This evening, the GHS volleyball team and coaches made history at Grafton HS. They defeated East Fairmont and are the Region 1 Co Champions. Next week they will travel to Charleston to compete in the state tournament. This is the first time in school history that the volleyball team has qualified for states. Congratulations!!!
