The Homecoming Closet will be available in the hallway outside of Room 207 beginning this Friday. If you are in need of a dress or formal wear for the dance, you are encouraged to see what is available. All items are free to GHS students. Please see Mrs. Eskridge if you have any questions.
Ms. Dalton, AP Language instructor and Ms. Sheme, AP US instructor, teamed up today to help students in AP US learn the best strategies to successfully respond to Document-Based Questions, DBQs.
Today the VFW presented the Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Award to our very own Mrs. Bartlett. Congratulations, Mrs. Bartlett!
Grafton High School was also awarded with the Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Award in recognition for citizenship education. We are very honored to have our school recognized by the VFW.
If you plan to bring a date that does not attend GHS, you are required to turn in a guest request form to Mr. McCarthy by 10/11. Any forms received after that date will not be accepted. Forms are available on TEAMS, in the main office, and outside of the cafeteria.
Forms require an administrator signature from the other student's school if they are currently enrolled in high school, so we encourage you to start this process soon to provide enough time for forms to be signed by the correct people.
This is a reminder that ALL powderpuff forms are due no later than October 1st. Please see Mrs. Eskridge if you have any questions.

As a principal, I often receive reports from the WVSSAC officials. Often the reports include information about injuries or penalties. Then every now and then you get a report like this.
The win last night was great, but this report was even better in this administrators opinion. Congratulations to Coach Foley, the Hampshire HS head coach, their coaching staff,, schools and families.
"Explanation: This is a very positive report. Every official wants a game like the one my crew had Friday September 20, 2024, at Grafton. Every player for Grafton and their opponent Hampshire displays good sportsmanship from the start of the coin toss and throughout the game. All players were respective to their opponent and to the officials. My crew and I notice acts of helping their opponent up and always address the officials respectful if they had a question. The players behavior made the game an enjoyment for the officials. They are a credit to their coaches, school and community!

GHS presents the 2024 Homecoming Court as elected by their classmates. Each young lady will represent their class throughout homecoming week activities. The student body will have the opportunity to vote for one of the five seniors on the court to represent GHS as our 2024 Homecoming Queen. The queen will be announced at halftime during the Homecoming football game.
