The WVU Medicine Center for Nursing Education is excited to announce that we will be hosting our Junior Nursing Academy this summer at our facility located within the WVU Innovation Corporation in Morgantown, West Virginia. The academy is designed to introduce students to the nursing profession through hands-on nursing skill activities, simulation experiences, and interaction with nursing faculty and healthcare professionals. Students will also have the opportunity to become CPR certified during the academy.
We are still accepting applications for the Junior Nursing Academy through June 1, 2026, and spots are still available.
We will be offering two separate sessions for students:
• Session 1: Incoming 9th and 10th Grade Students
July 13–14, 2026
• Session 2: Incoming 11th and 12th Grade Students
July 20–21, 2026
We are also sharing information about the tuition-free RN nursing program. The WVU Medicine Center for Nursing Education offers a 21-month RN program in which tuition, books, and supplies are provided in exchange for a three-year work commitment at one of WVU Medicine’s 25 hospitals. Admission to the program is open every August and January.
