Students in Sra. Skaggs and Srta. Romine’s Spanish classes had the opportunity to make homemade tortillas with Sra. Soledad Latham today. She taught the students how to make homemade tortillas. Then they made quesadillas. Thank you to Sra. Latham for being our guest and doing the demonstration.



Ms. Dalton and her English 10 students have started a new digital publication at Grafton High School.

Our 2022 Homecoming Dance will be held this Saturday, October 1st in the Commons area outside of the Scotty Hamilton gymnasium. It is $5 per person at the door. See you there, Bearcats!

Tomorrow is "Anything but a Backpack" Day! Get creative and find something other than your backpack to carry your belongings.
We are so proud of the effort and creativity of our Bearcats this Spirit Week. Let's keep it going!


Come out and join us for the 2022 GHS Homecoming Parade through the city of Grafton. We will begin at the Towers and proceed all the way to Yates Avenue.
Homecoming princesses, GHS sports teams, Taylor County youth programs, the GHS Band and more will be represented!


Tuesday's Spirit Day is BBQ Dads vs. Soccer Moms. Be sure to dress up to get points for your class towards the Spirit Stick! Check in is between 7:30-7:50 AM outside of the cafeteria.


The Ice Cream Bus is coming to GHS tomorrow during both lunches as a special treat to celebrate our 2022 Homecoming Week! If you'd like to buy something, don't forget to bring cash tomorrow!


Swim Announcement-
Swim season is only ONE month away! For any student planning to swim for the BEARCATS this season, there will be a parent meeting on Thurs, Oct 13th in the Mary Battle room at GHS from 6-7pm. Please bring your current physical forms with you if you did not play a fall sport! Swimmers and at least one parent/guardian are encouraged to attend. Our first practice will be in the water at AB on Monday 10/24, 7:30-9pm so please plan accordingly.
Tentative week 1 practice:
10/24 7:30-9:00pm @AB
10/25 7:00-8:30pm @AB
10/26 7:30-9:00pm @ AB
10/27 7:00-8:30pm @ AB

Today is Service Personnel Appreciation day and GHS would like to thank our Bearcat Service Personnel for all that they do for our students & school. We are grateful to have such a phenomenal team of aides, bus drivers, cooks, custodians, and secretaries. We appreciate you all!
