Good Luck to our Bearcat Boys Soccer Team as they take on Charleston Catholic today in the 2024 WVSSAC Class AA/A Boys Soccer Semifinals. Safe travels to all who are attending the game!


Taylor Michael-Smith visited and presented to Mrs. Bolyard’s Business and Marketing Classes. Taylor owns the Michael-Smith Horace Mann Insurance Agency in Fairmont, WV which serves educators with their specific insurance needs. Taylor shared about having her own insurance business, its structure, and what led her to this career. She also shared about the ins and outs of life and other types of insurance.
We appreciate her visiting us today!

Taylor County Schools will be having a 3-Hour Early Dismissal for all students on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Join us at GHS tonight for the 2024 Powderpuff Game! There will also be concessions and halftime competitions for kids of all ages with gift card prizes. Game starts at 6:00 pm. Gates open at 5:30 pm. $5 admission fee.


We received this information regarding an opportunity that Marion County is offering adults in the area. There are some great FREE workshops available for adults that focus on work based skills and resume building. If this is something you feel would benefit you, you are encouraged to sign up!

GHS Powderpuff Game - Monday, Nov. 4th at 6:00pm


GHS Students interested in attending the Soccer State tournament to cheer on our Boys Bearcat Soccer Team next Thursday were given permission forms today. Students must submit a completed permission form and payment ($20) to Mrs. Shumaker by Monday morning. Permission forms and payment will be accepted until 9:00 AM.
Students are permitted to attend the game and not ride the fan bus, but MUST check in at the game with a school staff member. They must also submit a note the following day for the absence to be excused.
