📢 Attention GHS 9th Grade Students & Families!
We have only received about half of the permission forms for the upcoming Freshman Trip to the United Technical Center on Tuesday, December 2nd.
This trip is designed for the entire 9th grade, and it’s an important opportunity for students to explore the technical programs available throughout high school—programs that can support their future career goals after graduation.
To help accommodate the holiday break, we are extending the deadline to Monday, December 1st at 9:00 AM. Please be sure to sign and return the permission form by then.

GHS FBLA Members wrapped up an exciting Fall 2025 Leadership Conference! The two-day conference, held at Stonewall Resort, was jam packed!
Conference highlights include a dynamic Keynote Speaker, a fun Chapter "Family Feud" competition, dancing, and s'mores outside around the fire! Students participated in a total of six informative workshops from SparkWV to important Financial Aid. Grafton's Alex Reneman, President of Mountain Leverage, was also on-site to share and inspire students on Thursday.
Thank you to Mrs. Bolyard for advising a large chapter membership of 50+ students in grades 9-12. Thank you to Mickey Foley and Stacy Ward for chaperoning. Shout out to our students for professionally representing GHS!

🇦🇷✨ Spanish Classes Explore Argentina! ✨🇦🇷
Yesterday our Spanish classes enjoyed a wonderful cultural experience learning all about Argentina! Students explored the country’s location, famous people, typical foods, currency, and the unique Argentinian accent. They also learned what daily life looks like for families in Argentina.
One of the highlights was tasting mate and dulce de leche with crackers.
Mate is a traditional hot drink that people in Argentina share with family and friends as a symbol of community and connection — and our students loved getting to try it! ☕️💚
We were happy to welcome Josefina Molinari, an English teacher from Argentina who is currently in the U.S. through the AuPair Program. Josefina shared her culture, answered questions, and made the learning experience extra special for our students.

Our Grafton High School Student Council created Thanksgiving baskets for individuals and families in need within our schools and community. Each class worked together to collect items to help fill the baskets.
A special thank you to the Taylor County Fair Association for donating turkeys, and to all of the students and families who contributed. Your kindness makes a difference!
