Prek had a busy week. They have been counting down the days for Freedom, the bald eagle, to visit. We have studied the eagle for several months. He wasn’t sure about the nest we built, but did get close enough for a picture. They were each able to place a stick from Freedom’s nest into theirs. Such a cool experience.

Today each 1st grader designed their own Easter candy and presented their idea to the class! The kids were able to practice public speaking and listening skills through this fun activity! 🍭 🍫

First Grade adopted “Peep Pets” earlier this week. They named their pets, used adjectives to describe them, and wrote facts about their new buddies. It was a wonderful way to stretch their imaginations and practice writing skills. This activity also helped them practice being responsible students because they had to take care of their pets all week and make sure they didn’t get lost or squished!
