Kindergarten had so much skating and earning their trip.

4th grade enjoyed a day full of lovely activities and a party! We investigated what would happen with sweethearts in vinegar, water, and soda. We made Valentine's Day cards, homemade pink slime, and raced to stack sweethearts! It was a great day to be in 4th grade!!

Taylor County Schools would like to thank the law enforcement community for their support as we worked through the threat to Grafton High School this weekend. The threat has been mitigated and all involved in the investigation are confident our schools and surrounding communities are safe. We will continue to monitor the safety of our staff and students daily to ensure we provide a safe learning environment for all. We remind all that if you see something be sure to say something to school administrators or local law enforcement. Together we can make a difference.

Summer School 2023
Good morning! We are excited to announce that this year's summer school will be held July 5 - August 3 (Monday - Thursday). You can access the registration form by scanning the QR code or through this link: https://forms.office.com/r/GQMYaiSQ8m Registration opens today for grades K-8th and will run through Friday, March 10th.

Over the weekend, Taylor County School administrators were alerted of a school threat made toward Grafton High School. Law enforcement was immediately alerted, and is conducting an investigation. As a result, schools throughout the county will have an increased presence of law enforcement on Monday, February 13, 2023, and longer if deemed necessary. Grafton Police Department, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, the West Virginia State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are monitoring all aspects of this investigation. We believe there is no immediate concern for our schools and surrounding communities, and students should report for a normal day of instruction on Monday. Our primary concern is the safety of our children, and all efforts are underway to ensure school buildings and their surrounding campuses are protected. Updates will be provided as more information is available.

Mark your calendars!

We are so thankful for our counselor, Ms Copeland! Thank you for everything you do for the students, staff, and families of Flemington Elementary School.
