4th graders out did themselves with their Pumpkin Book Reports! They were tasked with reading a book and creating a character from the book using a pumpkin. Talk about a group of avid readers and artists!







Fun Tip Friday for Families

Bus Announcement: Bus # 73 will not run today.
Middle School and High School students who normally ride that bus will be transported home on Bus # 24 or #25.
Flemington students from that bus will be transported by Bus #79.

Taylor County Schools is excited to announce Fun Tip Friday for Families! We will be sharing short videos, resources, and activities on Fridays that families can use to support learning at home. Our first Fun Tip Friday for Families focuses on the Science of Reading research and best practices. FES Faculty and Staff wore pink today in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds raised through staff donations will support Betty Puskar Breast Care Center #Wildcats


TCS Announcement:
Thursday, October 19th will now be a 2-Hour Early Release for all Taylor County School students. Staff will be attending various meetings and trainings within the schools.

This week, second grade students at Flemington Elementary School learned about spiders. They finished the week by writing adjectives about spiders on spider legs that are hanging above their writing.

Reminder: Friday, October 6th is a Professional Learning Day for all TCS Staff. No school for students.


All Taylor County children 4 and under are invited to participate in the Falliday event. We hope to see you there! Four food trucks will be parked nearby with food available for purchase.


Bus 73 students will be riding bus 79 today, 9/29/23.

Join us to celebrate the GHS Golf Team that qualified to go to the state golf tournament. The team will be visiting all the schools on Friday to be recognized prior to the golf match next week.

After-School Program will begin on Monday, September 25th. The bus will begin running the following week. All students who begin staying after school on Monday 9/25 must be picked up by a parent/guardian. Our ASP runs from 3:00pm-5:00pm. As in the past, our program will be offering homework help, math/reading tutoring, dinner or snack, and recreation/community service. If you are interested in signing your child up for our program, please submit the registration form that was sent home last week. Please contact the school with any questions!
