Miss West Virginia Teen USA, Brylee Knotts spoke with our third and fourth grade students about positive events in their life.

Mrs. Tennant had the students make glowing art in art class this past week. Two first grade classes worked together to make a midnight sky with glowing stars and stretched cotton ball clouds. While 3rd and 4th grade classes painted colorful sugar skulls.

The staff had a great time decorating a scarecrow that has been displayed all month on the awning in front of the house,

This week we had a special visitor to the school, WV Author and Illustrator Ashley Belote. She read to the whole school via TEAMS her most recent book that she illustrated titled "Frankenslime". She also showed them how to make one of the slime recipes from the back of the book and how to illustrate Igor on of the characters in the book.

All of our students enjoyed Spooky Relays this week in gym class with Mrs. Dye! The students raced being zombies and practiced sliding. Students practiced galloping, running, and balance strategies while being witches. They then turned into skeletons and had to work hard on balance and coordination while trying to bring back as many eyeballs as they could to their pumpkins. The 2-4 grades also raced boys vs. girls to see who could wrap one of their peers up as a mummy
