Just a reminder next week is the last week of the afterschool program at Anna Jarvis.


All of our students enjoyed learning about the Spanish culture from Grafton High School students. High school students performed skits, sang songs, and taught our students some dance moves. Thank you to Señor Skaggs and all the GHS students for a great morning at Anna Jarvis Elementary!



Update to threat: Taylor County Schools has been in contact with Taylor County Schools in Kentucky and learned the threat is not related to them but a social media post spreading nationwide. Authorities there continue to work on locating the person who began this earlier in the week.


Taylor County Schools was alerted to a possible threat involving a weapon and TCMS. The Sheriff’s Department investigated and determined it was meant for a school in Taylor County Kentucky. We appreciate those who shared the message and the diligence of the Sheriff’s department and the support they will provide at TCMS today.

Libraries are a staple in strong communities. Support our school libraries and the work they do to with our students as they assist in developing reading and research skills. Share a favorite book or learn more together using the various resources school libraries offer.


Grafton High School FBLA is having a Vendor/ Craft Show Sunday, April 23rd outside at Anna Jarvis.
Stop by to show your support to our high school students and pick up some great products, baked goods, and crafts.


Taylor County Schools will have a Non-Traditional Instructional Day (NTID) tomorrow, Friday, April 21 due to transportation issues. Staff are to report on a 2 hour delay.

Ready, Read, Write, West Virginia is an initiative created by the West Virginia Department of Education to increase literacy proficiency for all students.
